Abstract

We were faced with the decision on the "if" and "how" of the Microscopy Conference 2021. Covid-19 has been turning our previous (congress) landscape upside down - Our task now is to accept this challenge and master it in the best possible way! The health and safety of all conference participants, speakers and exhibiting companies is our top priority. The conference was originally planned to take place in Vienna. Unfortunately, as we do not expect sufficient improvements for all the restrictions presently in place, even taking into account the beginning rollout of the vaccination programme, it will not be possible to hold the conference as a face-to-face event. Nevertheless, in order not to miss the professional, scientific, and direct exchange in our field with you, we have decided that we will go the digital way. This format offers a number of opportunities that we can now fully exploit. Despite the digital format, there will be a variety of opportunities to interact with speakers, exhibitors, and other conference participants. Further information regarding the preliminary programme, industry symposia, as well as registration and congress fees will soon be provided by Conventus. As usual, we will also provide up-to-date information on this website. In addition, we recommend you use our conference newsletter to directly receive the latest news. We are looking forward to experiencing a new digital but lively conference setup with you and we very much hope that together, we will make many new scientific interactions, collaborations and friendships.
